  • You will need a trade certificate for the position, a Construction Safety Awareness Card and a license to conduct work in the state where the site is based if you are an electrician.
  • We will place candidates in the suitable training if it's a requirement of the project.
  • You may not have to go through the full recruitment process, however there are no guarantees of employment if you have worked for us previously.
  • Most of the trade roles on our projects are employed as a permanent employee for the duration of the project.
  • Depending on which project you are working on, you may be required to supply your own tools suited to the job. A list will be given to you during the recruitment process if tools are required.
  • Most Monadelphous trades people work on a 4/1 roster which means working four weeks at the project site then having a one week break. Every second week you will have a day off (RDO) at the site.
  • These sites are usually very remote and in regions where you can be exposed to harsh weather conditions. We operate on shifts between 10 – 12 hours, seven days a week. Employees live in demountable units that are referred to as 'dongas'. These usually have a king-size single bed, television, cupboard and an en-suite. Each day employees wake up early and prepare for work, breakfast is supplied in the mess hall. A shuttle bus drives everyone to the site. Employees work throughout the day with appropriate breaks during the course of the day before returning to camp in the evening. On many sites, we may run night-shift depending on the project requirements. Most of the sites that Monadelphous employees are based on have access to gyms, swimming pools and recreation rooms.
  • All Monadelphous employees working on project sites must undertake a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening, which is performed during the recruitment process. We also perform daily fitness for work checks, which include breath testing and random drug and alcohol tests on site.
