Building Indigenous Business Networks

Monadelphous representatives met more than 30 Indigenous businesses at the ‘Meet the Buyer Forum and Networking Event’ held in Brisbane in late 2012. 

The event, a joint initiative of the Federal Government, Queensland Government and the Queensland Resources Council, targeted companies in the resources sector seeking to engage with Indigenous businesses. 

Attendance by construction companies such as Monadelphous at the inaugural event demonstrates the industry’s commitment to offer opportunity and support in employment and business partnership with Indigenous Australians. 

Monadelphpous Maintenance and Industrial Services General Manager Strategy Chris Tabrett, who attended the event, said it was a valuable opportunity to meet with many potential suppliers 

Indigenous businesses at the event offered services in construction, labour hire, telecommunications and consulting.
