Monadelphous provides comprehensive services to the power industry, including construction and commissioning of oil, gas and coal-fired power stations, wind farms, biomass power plants, and coal seam gas power stations.
Our first power contract was in 2008 for the structural, mechanical and piping work associated with the shutdown and maintenance of the Channel Island Power Station, for the Northern Territory Power and Water Authority in Darwin.
In July 2011, Monadelphous acquired asset management company PearlStreet Energy Services Pty Ltd as part of our market growth strategy. It has been renamed Monadelphous Energy Services and manages two long-term operations and maintenance contracts in the power sector in Western Australia.
The contracts are with Verve Energy, for coal infrastructure operations and maintenance in the Collie Basin, and the Tronox Joint Venture KMK Cogeneration Plant for plant operations and maintenance at Kwinana.
The new operations and maintenance capabilities in the power sector leverage Monadelphous’s deep skills and experience in resources and oil and gas markets. We now offer our customers a greater range of services, including innovative construct, operate and maintain solutions in power generation, transmission and distribution.
