Monadelphous has a significant heavy lift and transport capability based on an owned-and-operated heavy crane fleet and specialist equipment. Supported by a specialist team in the heavy lift department, we can engineer, plan and execute large scale lifting and transport projects in Australia and overseas.
We have invested in a modern fleet of cranes and specialised transport equipment that make us industry leaders in our field. In July 2025 we added our first electric crane to our fleet, marking a significant step in our journey to modernise lifting operations and support lower-emission practices across the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors. The battery-powered JMG MC 250 is the first electric crane of its kind to service the resources industry within the Pilbara region of Western Australia, supporting our customers in their transition to lower-emission operations.
Our dedicated heavy lift team has talented project managers, engineers, superintendents, supervisors, specialist operators and advanced riggers to ensure our lifting and transport projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.
Our modern heavy lift fleet consists of:
- heavy-lift crawler cranes, up to 1,600 tonne capacity
- mobile all-terrain hydraulic cranes, up to 650 tonnes
- self-propelled modular trailers (SPMT) up to 4,000 tonnes
- modular hydraulic Gantry system, with 1,100 tonne capacity
- strand jacks, up to 750 tonne capacity
- an extensive range of ancillary lifting and rigging equipment
- prime movers and associated trailers
- lifting and rigging studies
- high quality and reliable fleet comprising Liebherr, Tadano, JMG, Demag, Manitowoc and Cometto
