Project Description

Hastings District Council (HDC) operates three large diameter trunk sewers between the urban area of Hastings and the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) at East Clive, each is approximately 10 kilometres long.

The project includes the rehabilitation of 1,050-millimetre and 1,800-millimetre lines that make up part of the Hastings District Trunk Sewer System which delivers domestic sewage and industrial waste to the Hastings Waste Water Treatment Plant. Both of these lines and manhole entries had suffered significant deterioration from hydrogen sulphide gases and required rehabilitation for 354.5 metres and 117.5 metres respectively.

Scope of Work

The scope of work included 120 metres of DN1800 under road intersections, 360 metres of DN1050 in road berm, the installation of chimney of three manholes in the road and grass verge, SewperCoat of internal manhole surfaces and CCTV reports of pre-and-post works.
