Project Description
Mondium is a joint venture between Monadelphous and Lycopodium, which delivers engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services in the minerals processing sector.
The Greenbushes Lithium Operations located in the southwest region of Western Australia includes two processing plants, one producing technical-grade (TG) lithium concentrates and one producing chemical-grade (CG) lithium concentrate. Ore containing Li2O is fed into the processing plants which upgrade the lithium mineral, using gravity, heavy media, flotation and magnetic processes, into a range of lithium concentrates for bulk or bagged shipment.
Scope of Work
The engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover of the new Chemical Grade Plant 1 Feed System, including:
- Superior radial telescopic stacker
- 80m3 surge bin structure complete with 6.6m tall concrete wing walls
- 1200mm wide surge bin reclaim conveyor(1605-FD200)
- Transfer station with integrated belt take-up system
- 1200mm wide Plant feed conveyor (1605-CV200
In addition to managing all construction disciplines on-site from the concrete civil, structural, mechanical and electrical works, plant shutdown and brownfield tie-in works were also completed to an existing substation and transfer tower to connect the new plant feed system into the existing chemical-grade plant.
