Pluto Offshore Platform Hook-Up and Commissioning Project
Woodside - Karratha WA
Project Execution Period
July 2009 - April 2010
The Pluto gas field is located approximately 90km south-west of the North West Shelf Venture’s Goodwyn gas production platform and about 190km north-west of Karratha on the edge of the continental shelf and contains approx 4Tcf of recoverable gas and condensate.
The Pluto LNG Project consists of subsea wells tied into one subsea manifold and one pigging manifold in approximately 830m water depth. Two 27km long, 20-inch Production Flowlines (508mm OD) transport the gas to a not-normally manned riser platform in 85m water depth. A 36-inch Export Trunkline (914mm OD) is to be used to transport the gas from the platform to an LNG plant onshore at Dampier.
The platform consists of a Jacket and two Topside modules fabricated overseas (the Jacket in China and Topsides in Malaysia) and installed on location by McDermott International Inc.
Scope of Work
Monadelphous has been contracted to provide labour, materials and equipment for the hook-up and commissioning of the platform topside modules, including piping, electrical and instrumentation works.
This scope consists of 60,000 manhours.
