The project involved supplying and constructing the West Angelas iron ore plant in Western Australia’s Pilbara region - the first of a new breed in iron ore mines supplying Marra Mamba-type ore to the world market.
Scope of Work
Monadelphous’s contract involved the supply, fabrication, delivery and installation of all structural and mechanical components of the plant including the primary crushing, secondary crushing, scalping and product screening facilities along with the sample station, stockyard conveyors, transfer stations and train load out building.
The contract required the supply of all labour, supervision, management and services. Monadelphous also managed the site establishment and facilities, testing, no-load commissioning, auditing and inspection to ensure the proper and timely completion of works.
