Project Description
The Chevron-operated Wheatstone project is one of Australia’s largest resource projects. Located at Ashburton North, 12km west of Onslow in Western Australia, the project will consist of two LNG trains with a combined capacity of 8.9 million tonnes per annum and a domestic gas plant.
Scope of Work
Monadelphous was engaged as part of providing Construction General Services during the early stages of the project to build the 4ML/D Seawater Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) Plant, 11kv substation supply construction water. Monadelphous engaged a piling subcontractor to construct diaphragm walls and foundation piling to the value of $4 million.
As part of the waste management package, Monadelphous self-executed foundations for RO units, major tanks, turkey nests, access roads and subsidiary works to the value of $20 million.
Major works included the installation of surface and underground utilities, construction, commissioning, operations and maintenance of and associated distribution network, waste management facility, 3800EP Waste Water Treatment Plant, diesel fuel station and various other temporary facilities.
