Project description

Fabrication and supply of gantry and stacker for a coal terminal. WICET is a greenfield coal export terminal on Golding Point which is located west of the existing RG Tanna Coal Terminal (RGTCT). The offshore wharf and loading facilities are situated north of Wiggins Island, adjacent to the Targinie Channel. The rail unloading facilities are located immediately south of the North Coast Line (NCL) and are connected to the Golding Point stockyard via a 5.6km long overland conveyor.

Scope of work

Scope of work included the supply of 7457 tons of stockyard structural steelwork and mechanical items such as stacker bridges and associated steelwork.

Supply scope included all mechanical items including:

  • Access-ways
  • Grating
  • Rail
  • Bracketing
  • Conveyor structure
  • Steelwork structures
  • Bogie drives
  • Shuttle drive and mechanicals
  • Chain/sprocket system
  • Hose and cable reels
