The project comprised the design, manufacture, supply, construction, installation, testing and commissioning of a Water Treatment Plant located at Wyndham, Western Australia.
Scope of Work
The contract entailed the design, manufacture, supply, construction, installation, testing and commissioning of the Wyndham Water Treatment Plant. The scope incorporated raw water supply, coagulation, submerged membrane filtration, stabilisation, disinfection, water storage tank, power supply and process control system.
Monadelphous was responsible for all mechanical, electrical instrumentation and control systems, civil and piping installation work including: an ultra-violet disinfection system, pumping station, pump and blower systems, chemical dosing, tanks, chlorination and water treatment plant buildings as well as the upgrade of pumps and pipe work at the existing Mochalabra Dam Pump Station.
The contract scope included the design and construction of all civil works including underground piping, infiltration pond, sludge drying beds, road works, drainage and site fencing, a 100kL reinforced concrete storage tank and the water treatment plant building complete with gantry crane.
Monadelphous also undertook the design, procurement and installation of all process piping and equipment including pumps, chemical dosing, submerged membrane filtration system and UV disinfection system.
Through its wholly owned subsidiary, MIE, Monadelphous completed the design, supply and installation of all electrical and instrumentation works including PLC, switchboards, telemetry and SCADA.

Monadelphous successfully executed its first project in the water sector and has subsequently been awarded additional contracts in the industry.
