The project involved the construction of a new complete ore processing facility to increase Yandicoogina Mine’s production capacity to 36Mtpa.
Scope of Work
Monadelphous’ contract involved shop detailing, fabrication, surface treatment and installation of over 3500 tonnes of steel and 10km of pipe work for the primary, secondary and tertiary crushing facilities, scrubbing and product screening facilities.
The scope included the supply and installation of mechanical items including crushers, screens, sizers and conveyors and the installation of all service pipe work. Monadelphous provided project management and execution services through a team comprised of structural, mechanical, piping and managerial specialists.
Highlights & Achievements
- Successfully completed detailed drafting and supply of over 3500 tonnes of structural steelwork, 7000m2 of walkway grating, 7km of hand-railing and approximately 10km of process and services piping
- Supply and installation of a 4.25km long overland conveying system
- As a result of extensive scheduling and planning, the project was completed within an accelerated schedule, 9 months from contract award.
