Project Description
Zenviron, the Company’s renewable energy joint venture with ZEM Energy, has secured a contract with Energy Australia for the delivery of the 350 MW Wooreen Battery Energy Storage System in the Latrobe Valley, Victoria. The work includes balance-of-plant design, construction, installation and commissioning.
The Latrobe Valley Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Project has an indicative capacity of 100MW/200MWh. Once completed, the Project will improve the reliability of the Victorian electricity network by storing power for use during peak periods.
Scope of Work
Monadelphous’ renewable energy joint venture, Zenviron has the design and construct sub-contract for the Balance of Plant (BoP) Civil and Electrical Works for Fluence Energy.
The BoP Scope includes the installation of 320 battery ‘Cube’ energy storage containers and associated Inverters, core transformers as well as the design and construction of the access track, facility bench, switchroombuilding, operations and maintenance facility, and tie-in to the existing Morwell Terminal Station through underground incomer cables.
